A voice with a history: The handpan was born in the year 2000, when Felix Rohner and Sabine Schärer of Bern, Switzerland reimagined the Caribbean steelpan and gave the world the Hang — the first of its kind. Our Golden Eye is not one of those Swiss originals, but it is built in that honored tradition: two steel bowls, hand-shaped and stacked face to face with a single sound hole beneath, crafted by a dedicated team in a workshop devoted to this one instrument. Professional quality, with a warm golden "eye" at its heart that seems to watch over every player and a prayer behind it.
