Hi, I'm Sonia, living in Tulsa, Oklahoma — the heart behind Ethereal Sound.

The phrase: "The new sound of ecommerce is to give the customer an experience, not just a sale", is what I'd like people to experience as your shopping & a form of hospitality.

I'll be honest with you: I'm not a polished person with everything figured out. I'm a woman of faith who has known real struggle and real overcoming of much, who laughs a lot, dreams even more (my name actually means "dreamer"), and who believes God can take an ordinary life and make something beautiful from it.

I grew up in Ventura, California in the '80s and '90s, then found my way to Tulsa, Oklahoma. At nineteen, I gave my life to Jesus — and that one moment is still shaping everything I do, including this. Music and the arts have always run in my family, woven through me yet dormant long before I knew where they would lead and has come to light through-out recent years.

Ethereal Sound was born from a simple longing: a way for *anyone* to make beautiful worship music, street music, educational music, family time music, healing music, recording music ect. — with no lessons, no sheet music, and no "I'm just not musical enough." The crafted steel tongue drums, hand pans and other instruments added to the store because of creative merchants, are tuned so that every note belongs. In regard to the drums and pans, each one is numbered, so you simply follow the numbers and play. If you can count to seven, you can worship. That's the whole idea — **play by number.**

I wanted to represent instruments for *stillness and praise* — something you can hold in your lap after a long day, tap a few gentle notes, and feel your shoulders finally come down. A small place of peace for your home. Whether you're worshiping, winding down, or quieting an anxious mind before bed, these drums were made to help you do two simples; inspire & rest, in the still of that moment that neither of u can get back.**

That's also why every drum comes with our free Worship & Wellness Songbook — so you're never staring at a new instrument wondering where to begin. You'll be playing real songs from day one. We plan to email these Songbooks to our subscribers as we re-create them as the holidays churn and as seasons pass.
